An analysis of Pence’s record shows an excellent commitment to limited government principles surrounding labor policy and promoting employment. As Governor, and when he was in Congress, Pence worked to eliminate prevailing wage mandates which typically enrich unions. Additionally, he vetoed an attempt by the Indiana legislature to expand occupational licensing mandates.
