An analysis of Pence’s record on education shows a very strong commitment to limited government principles. At all stages of his career as Congressman, Governor and Vice President Pence showed a rock-solid commitment to school choice. He supported the expansion of vouchers and charter schools as well as increased accountability of failing schools. The only blemish on his record is his work to grow the size and scope of government to include providing pre-school.
