An analysis of Christie’s record on healthcare shows minimal commitment to limited government principles. As Governor, Christie fully expanded Obamacare with a contingency that the federal government maintain its funding rate. Furthermore, Christie enacted additional Medicaid welfare initiatives, new regulations on healthcare, and a long list of insurance mandates which drive up insurance premiums. However, he did veto some attempts by the legislature to even further expand Obamacare.
