The "No Hidden Fees on Extra Expenses for Stays Act of 2023 (No Hidden FEES)" sponsored by Rep. Young Kim (R-CA) imposes a new federal mandate on providers of short-term lodging (e.g., hotels, motels, inns, and short-term rentals) to include each mandatory fee when displaying or advertising the price for a reservation. The bill is estimated to cost the FTC $4 million to issue guidance and to monitor and enforce violations. The Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) amendment #50 to the "Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025" cuts funding for the Great Lakes Authority in half and transfer the difference to the spending reduction account. This program was created in 2022 to fund watershed programs in a handful of states. Providing a Slight Cut to Wasteful Spending within the Peace Corps by Restoring Funding to Pre-COVID-19 Levels.

The Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) amendment #11 to the "Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2025" freezes the funding level of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to the FY24 enacted level, providing a saving of $57.8 million. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as the private sector is best equipped to determine investment levels and which initiatives would be the most impactful for such a center to engage in rather than university employees who are not financially held accountable for the center's failure or success.

Increasing Government Spending to Establish a New Native American Language Resource Center.

The Rep. Diane Harshbarger (R-TN) amendment #45 to the "Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025" prohibits funds from being used for the Board on Geographic Names. According to the sponsor, the Board on Geographic Names was initially designed to be a part of the United States Geological Survey to ensure uniform naming on maps, but has been repurposed as a "woke renaming board". Support is the Limited Government Position as the Board on Geographic Names represents an unnecessary government bureaucracy which has since been hijacked to advance a political agenda.

Defunding the "Board on Geographic Names" - An Unnecessary Bureaucracy Hijacked into a Woke Renaming Board for the Biden Administration.

This resolution, introduced by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), overturns the D.C. Council's Revised Criminal Code Act of 2022. The "National Telecommunications and Information Administration Reauthorization (NTIA) Act of 2023", sponsored by Bob Latta (R-OH) would be the first reauthorization of the NTIA since 1992, and significantly expand the size and scope of the agency. The 108-page package also includes provisions from multiple other bills including the "Plan for Broadband Act" and "Open RAN Outreach Act". The NTIA is currently administering the $42.45 billion "Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program" which expands high-speed internet access in unserved and underserved areas. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this bill further expands the size and scope of government, including in broadband - an industry the federal government should not have involvement. Considering the enormous advancements in satellite internet (most notably Starlink), lawmakers should rescind the tens of billions of dollars provided under the infrastructure bill. These broadband funds have largely been used to enrich woke telecom companies such as Comcast.

Fueling Out-of-Control Government Growth and Spending Through the Reauthorization of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

The "Eliminating Barriers to Rural Internet Development Grant Eligibility (E-Bridge) Act" sponsored by Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO) would increase federal spending on broadband projects, particularly last-mile projects, which connect to homes and other buildings in "distressed communities". Specifically, the bill would make it easier to receive broadband grants from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) by allowing grant recipients to use in-kind donations, such as real property, to meet the cost sharing requirements. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as the costs to provide broadband to select individuals should not be socialized onto federal taxpayers. Additionally, broadband infrastructure is no longer necessary due to new technologies such as Elon Musk's Starlink internet. Federal and state broadband subsidy schemes merely distort the free-market by providing competitive advantages, and enrich woke companies such as Comcast.

According to the sponsor, "NewsGuard and similar companies receive funds from the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies to actively suppress and demonetize small businesses by labeling certain speech as untrustworthy, using partisan tactics and skewed determinations of fact". The sponsor noted that this is a "direct effort by the government to skirt the Constitution and force a single viewpoint on America". Protecting Free Speech by Ending the Federal Funding of Entities Hired to Harras Small Businesses and Label their Speech as "Untrustworthy".

The "Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act" sponsored by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) would ban the social media platform TikTok, which is a subsidiary of Chinese-owned company ByteDance Ltd. The bill includes a provision which would allow TikTok to continue to operate if ByteDance sells the application to a company deemed acceptable by the President. According to the sponsor, this measure is necessary given the fact TikTok is owned by the Chinese and the potential for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to collect data on American users. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as while the potential for the CCP to collect data on Americans is concerning, TikTok has become a widely popular in America, with over 170 million monthly users. A TikTok ban across government platforms is reasonable considering national security, but ultimately it should be up to individual Americans to weigh the risks of TikTok and determine their usage - not politicians - absent a much more substantial threat to national security.

Imposing an Overreaching Ban on the Social Media Platform TikTok Through the "Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act".

The Lucas motion to instruct the conference committee on the "America COMPETES Act of 2022" ensures that section 2502 of the version passed by the Senate is included in the final bill. This section ensures that no person or entity of concern, as defined by the Department of Defense, can receive grants or funding from the National Science Foundation, federally funded manufacturing programs, or technology hubs authorized by the bill. Support is the Limited Government Position as this motion establishes guardrails to ensure taxpayer funds do not end up in the hands of foreign adversaries, such as the Chinese Communist Party.

Warren Davidson (R-OH), rolls back a rule by the Federal Housing Finance Agency that changed fees for mortgages under the loan-level-pricing-adjustment framework used by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The rule resulted in higher fees for individuals seeking mortgages with good credit, and lower fees for those with marginal credit and riskier borrowers. According to the sponsor, "responsible homebuyers with good credit are forced to subsidize those with bad credit" due to the rule. Support is the Limited Government Position as the Biden administration rule represents a wealth redistribution scheme that drives up housing costs for responsible homebuyers while rewarding those who have not been as fiscally responsible. Repealing the Biden Administration's Mortgage Rule that Hiked Fees on Responsible Borrowers to Subsidize the Loans of those with Bad Credit.

The "Joint Consolidation Loan Separation Act" allows two borrowers who received a joint consolidation loan (offered at one point federally and at a lower interest rate) to apply to have their loan severed into two separate loans. Growing Government Spending and Debt Through an Expansion of Student Loan Forgiveness via the Joint Consolidation Loan Separation Act.

The "Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act" sponsored by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) would impose sanctions on International Criminal Court (ICC) officials who seek to go after U.S. citizens or allies, including Israel. According to the sponsor, "the ICC is an illegitimate body that has no business interfering with our sovereignty or that of our allies" and "the Trump administration was right to impose sanctions on the associates of the ICC" The sponsor noted that following Biden's decision to reverse the Trump policy, the ICC is now "engaged in a shameful lawfare campaign against Prime Minister Netanyahu for doing his duty to protect his fellow citizens from Hamas in the wake of the barbaric October 7th attacks". Support is the Limited Government Position as this measure helps protect America and its allies including Israel from an illegitimate globalist court that represents a massive threat to US sovereignty.

Protecting America and Israel from Frivolous International Lawfare by Imposing Sanctions on International Criminal Court Officials.

The Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) amendment #41 to the "Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2024" provides a 6.5 percent cut within the underlying bill to funding for the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). After the $60.5 million cut, $850 million is provided to the entity. The sponsor noted the NCRS has a number of politicized programs and practices, including an Equity Division and LGBTQ emphasis programs. In addition to politicized programs, the NRCS funds countless wasteful initiatives that are not core functions of government, including conservation farming, conservation easements, and climate change related programs. Reducing Spending by 6.5% within the National Resource Conservation Service, which has Funded Countless Politicized Initiatives Surrounding "Equity" and Climate Change.

The "Deploying American Blockchains Act of 2023" sponsored by Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN) would grow the size and scope of the Department of Commerce to "support the leadership of the United States in the use of blockchain technology and other distributed ledger technology, tokens, and tokenization". According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bill would increase annual spending by $10 million to hire 45 new government employees to promote the blockchain technology in both the public and private sector. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this measure grows government cronyism and central planning to promote the private interests of the blockchain industry. Lawmakers should work to shrink the size and scope of government, not grow it and force taxpayers to subsidize the interests of a government-favored industry.

Forcing the Department of Commerce to Hire 45 New Government Employees to Promote the Interests of the Blockchain Industry Across Both the Public and Private Sectors.

The "Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022" provides the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) a series of new powers and duties, including assessing the domestic terrorism threat posed by "white supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and the uniformed services." Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this bill provides employees within the DOJ, DHS, and FBI overreaching new surveillance and investigative powers and does not contain critical safeguards to protect civil liberties under the Fourth Amendment. Additionally, there have been numerous cases of recent politicized actions taking place within the FBI, including their support of a letter from the National School Boards Association that characterized parental engagement on school curriculums as "heinous actions" that "could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism."

Weakening Civil Liberties by Providing the Department of Justice Overreaching New Powers Through the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act.

The "Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act", sponsored by Rep. John Joyce (R-PA), prevents the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from issuing Clean Air Act waivers for state policies that seek to ban or otherwise limit the sale of internal combustion engine vehicles. The bill is largely in response to California, which has banned the sale of combustion engines starting in 2035 that is requiring all cars sold by that year to have zero emissions. Support is the Limited Government Position as this measure is critical to protecting automotive freedom amid pushes by California and other states to force electric vehicle purchases. It is the role of the free market - not central planning by government bureaucrats - to determine the propulsion of new vehicle sales.

Protecting Automotive Freedom and the Internal Combustion Engine by Preventing California and Other States from Imposing Mandates that All New Vehicles be Electric or Zero Emission.

The "Secure the Border Act of 2023", sponsored by Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), contains a long list of provisions surrounding immigration and security at the southern border. Some of the major provisions include restarting border wall construction, hiring thousands of additional Border Patrol agents, equipping officers with better technology to detect drugs and illegal immigration, and additional E-Verify requirements. The "Expanding Access to Capital Act of 2023" sponsored by Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) is a package of bills which would reduce various financial securities regulations. Under the bill, a number of reporting and registration requirements for companies, brokers, and advisors would be decreased, plus provides an exemption for companies that sell less than $250,000 in securities in a year from having to register the transactions with the SEC. Additionally, the bill relaxes qualifications to become an "accredited investor", giving more people the ability to invest in private markets regardless of their wealth or income levels. Support is the Limited Government Position as this bill removes unnecessary regulatory barriers on businesses and provides more individuals the freedom to invest in whatever entity or security of their choosing. This reduction in government overreach will further empower the free-market and grow the U.S. economy.

Reducing Overreaching Government Regulations in the Financial Sector and Providing More Americans with the Ability to Invest Through the "Expanding Access to Capital Act of 2023".

The Rep. This version of the "American Relief Act, 2025" passed on December 19, 2024 and sponsored by Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) would fund the government through March 14, 2025. The bill also includes more than $100 billion in disaster aid and $10 billion in economic aid to farmers, as well as an extension of the farm bill through Sept. 30, 2025. The sponsor noted that "Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution list out those things that Congress is supposed to be responsible for, and yet it leaves the States programs like this". The sponsor cites statistics from the SBA Inspector General which estimated that more than $200 billion of the roughly $1.2 trillion in pandemic loans were distributed to potentially fraudulent actors.
