The Congressional Budget Office estimates the cost of this bill could exceed $700 billion. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as, while all veterans who sustained injuries due to their service should receive the highest levels of treatment and care, this bill creates countless avenues for devious plaintiffs\' attorneys to advance fraudulent health and disability claims and will likely further overload the VA, thus preventing veterans with service-sustained injuries from receiving the prompt care they deserve.

Jill Tokuda (D-HI) directs the National Park Service to assess the suitability and feasibility of designating Lahaina, Maui County, Hawaii, as the "Lahaina National Heritage Area" under the National Heritage Areas Act. Further Growing the Size and Scope of the Federal Government by Adding Lahaina, Hawaii to the National Heritage Areas Act.

The "End Chinese Dominance of Electric Vehicles in America Act of 2024" sponsored by Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV) would make electric vehicles utilizing battery technology licensed from China ineligible for federal EV tax credit. Specifically, the bill tightens the Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) definition for the 30D electric vehicle (EV) tax credit as well as closes the "billionaire and Chinese manufacturing loopholes" which provide Chinese companies and business owners with subsidy benefits. The bill is in response to plans by Ford, General Motors and other manufactures to license technology from China's Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) to produce lithium-ion batteries. Support is the Limited Government Position as while the federal EV tax credit program should be entirely eliminated, this measure at least reduces distribution of the subsidies and ensures Chinese manufacturers and business owners are not enriched at the expense of American taxpayers.

Ending Subsidies to Vehicle Manufactures Utilizing Chinese Battery Technology Under the Crony Federal Electric Vehicle Tax Credit Program.

The "Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2023" sponsored by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) would authorize $1.2 billion in additional federal spending on anti-human trafficking initiatives over the next five years. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) a majority of this spending would be for "foreign assistance to address trafficking overseas" which would be carried out in part by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Oppose is the Limited Government Position as only a small portion of funding within the bill is directed towards law enforcement actions to combat human trafficking domestically. Advancing a Human Trafficking Bill Containing Wasteful U.S. AID Spending - "Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act".

The "Prove It Act of 2024" sponsored by Rep. Brad Finstad (R-MN) would give small businesses a seat at the table during the regulatory process by requiring government agencies to assess and limit the direct and indirect costs of their rules and regulations. Under the bill, if an agency imposes a regulation but did not participate or assist in the full review process, the finalized rule shall not apply to small entities. Support is the Limited Government Position as this measure places a critical check on unaccountable executive branch bureaucrats who have enormous powers to control the daily lives of Americans.

Protecting Small Businesses from Overreaching Federal Regulations by Requiring a Full Review Process Under the "Prove It Act".

The Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) amendment #91 to the "Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025" reduces the salary of Council on Environmental Quality, CEQ, Chair Brenda Mallory to $1. According to the sponsor, the amendment is in response to the CEQ's implementation of the ''Federal Acquisition Regulation: Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Climate-Related Financial Risk" - which the CEQ did not have rulemaking authority to enact. This rule forces all Federal contractors that do business worth more than $50 million with the Federal Government to disclose scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Furthermore, the rule forces companies to have their climate targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) which is connected to the New Venture Fund, a left-wing entity funded by George Soros. Support is the Limited Government Position as despite the fact the CEQ does not possess rulemaking authority, it pushed the FAR Council to implement this draconian regulatory regime. This amendment serves as a critical means of restoring accountability within the CEQ.

Holding Chair Brenda Mallory of the Council on Environmental Quality Accountable for Agency Overreach by Slashing her Salary to $1.

The Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) amendment #65 to the "Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act" prohibits any funds within the bill from being used to hire any diversity, equity, and inclusion officials or conduct training on diversity, equity, and inclusion. According to the sponsor "Secretary Buttigieg and President Biden's DEI initiatives which hire and promote people based on their physical characteristics over their merits and qualifications violate Title VII and the Constitution." Support is the Limited Government Position as taxpayer funds should not be utilized to promote DEI or CRT, which are ideologies that sow division amongst Americans and are intended to further grow the role of government. These programs also fuel cronyism by enriching the providers of these services, who are typically politically connected.

The "LGBTQI+ Data Inclusion Act" requires the over 100 federal agencies that conduct surveys collecting demographic data, expand their methods to incorporate information on sexual orientation, gender identity, and other "variations in sex characteristics" into their published reports. This additional red tape, such as the new curriculum mandate, may restrict the ability of employees within the department from receiving other training in fields that are more applicable to their job.

Growing Bureaucracy and Taxpayer Costs by Requiring the State Department to Post a "Climate Change Officer" at Embassies, Consulates, and on Diplomatic Missions.

The "A Stronger Workforce for America Act" sponsored by Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) would reauthorize the "Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and approximately $6.4 billion in annual spending. The "WOIA is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy". Oppose is the Limited Government Position as it is the role of employers and non-profits within the private sector - not the government - to train employees working in the private sector. This bill continues to fuel wasteful spending and the central planning schemes of government bureaucrats which enrich select government-favored companies. Lawmakers must rein in the out-of-control spending and $35 trillion in national debt, which, when coupled with the $200 trillion in federal liabilities, represents the greatest existential threat facing this country.

Forcing Taxpayers to Spend Billions to Subsidize the Job Training Costs of Government-Favored Businesses Through the "A Stronger Workforce for America Act".

The "Fire Weather Development Act of 2024" sponsored by Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) would expand the size and scope of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to engage in greater levels of wildfire prediction and management. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the NOAA already spends approximately $8 million annually on forecasting fire weather events. This bill would boost spending to $32 million annually for additional initiatives such as development of improved communication systems and for research to "better understand the impact of climate change on fire weather environments". Oppose is the Limited Government Position as it is the role of state governments and the private sector to monitor the wildfire threats within their regions - not the federal government through an even more bloated bureaucracy. Considering the majority of the nation's most destructive wildfires have been triggered by utility companies such as Xcel Energy and Edison International - companies with radical ESG and DEI frameworks - lawmakers should instead work to hold these companies accountable for their businesses practices to reduce wildfires.

Hiking Spending within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to Promote Politicized Research on the "Impact of Climate Change on Fire Weather Environments".

The Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) amendment #30 to the "Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2024" cuts spending by $19.7 million at the Department of Housing and Urban Development's by reducing the "fair housing activities" appropriation amount back to the fiscal year 2019 level. According to the Congressional Research Service, only three to five percent of fair housing complaints lead to a formal charge, and between zero to one percent of complaints lead to a referral to the Department of Justice. Support is the Limited Government Position as the vast majority of complaints directed to the fair housing division represent frivolous allegations and are primarily designed to harass landlords, which will ultimately drive up rental costs.
