According to the sponsor, in 2022 the U.S. provided $113 billion in total assistance to Ukraine, which, in addition to weapons, has gone to fund their government, farmers, and small businesses. Additionally, "this is nothing more than a blank check for Ukraine that Joe Biden's State Department will get to write. Even more dangerously, they get to waive oversight, claiming national security. All this will do is fuel another never-ending war and push the United States even closer to the brink of nuclear Holocaust." Placing America First by Halting the Billions Provided to Ukraine at a Time when the U.S. is Facing a Border Crisis and Crippling Debt.

The "Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024" sponsored by Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) would expand numerous tax credit programs that benefit select businesses and certain individuals with low-incomes. For example, the bill expands the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and increases welfare payments for low-income families under the child tax credit program from $1,600 to $2,000 per child, including allowing a greater number of illegal immigrants to receive benefits. Additionally, the bill provides businesses with research and development expenses with more favorable tax deductions, while also extending certain provisions under the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017, including the bonus depreciation provision. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this bill grows the welfare state and government dependency - including for illegal immigrants - while continuing to distort the tax code to provide benefits to select businesses and taxpayers. Growing the Welfare State and Tax Cronyism through the "Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act".

The "Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair (CROWN) Act of 2022" makes a person's hair texture or hairstyle a protected characteristic if is commonly associated with a particular race or national origin. CROWN applies to public accommodations, employment, and federally assisted programs. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this bill allows anyone who alleges they have been discriminated against based on their hair to file a lawsuit in federal court in the same manner one may file under the Civil Rights Act and the Fair Housing Act. As a result, both individuals making frivolous allegations and plaintiffs\' attorneys could abuse the court system and expose businesses to significant legal liabilities, potentially having the opposite intended outcome by making it more difficult for individuals with these hairstyles to find employment and housing.

Additionally, the bill relaxes qualifications to become an "accredited investor", giving more people the ability to invest in private markets regardless of their wealth or income levels. Support is the Limited Government Position as this bill removes unnecessary regulatory barriers on businesses and provides more individuals the freedom to invest in whatever entity or security of their choosing. This reduction in government overreach will further empower the free-market and grow the U.S. economy.

Reducing Overreaching Government Regulations in the Financial Sector and Providing More Americans with the Ability to Invest Through the "Expanding Access to Capital Act of 2023".

The "Standing Against Houthi Aggression Act" sponsored by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) would redesignate Ansarallah, more commonly known as the Houthis, as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO). Trump's former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo designated the Houthis as an FTO on January 19, 2021. Approximately one month later, Biden's Secretary of State Anthony Blinken revoked the FTO designation of the Houthis. The Keating amendment #273 to the "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023" requires the State Department to establish and staff Climate Change Officer positions posted at U.S. embassies, consulates, or diplomatic missions to provide climate change mitigation expertise. Additionally, the Department must develop curriculum at the Foreign Service Institute to provide employees with specialized climate change training. Oppose is the Limited Government Position as this amendment imposes significant additional costs onto taxpayers and further grows bureaucracy at the State Department. This additional red tape, such as the new curriculum mandate, may restrict the ability of employees within the department from receiving other training in fields that are more applicable to their job.

Growing Bureaucracy and Taxpayer Costs by Requiring the State Department to Post a "Climate Change Officer" at Embassies, Consulates, and on Diplomatic Missions.

The "Western Economic Security Today (WEST) Act of 2023" sponsored by Rep. John Curtis (R-UT) would repeal the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) "Conservation and Landscape Health" final rule. This rule establishes a series of new regulations concerning the usage of public land and restoration and conservation standards. According to the sponsor, "by elevating conservation as a qualified multiple-use, the BLM is acting outside of the law and is intentionally locking up America's public lands from intended purposes like resource development, mining, grazing, recreation and timber harvesting". The Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) amendment #50 to the "Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025" would require the United States Army to establish gender-neutral fitness standards for its combat fitness test. According to the sponsor, "our enemies' bullets do not discriminate". The sponsor provided an example of a successful female service member who had to meet the standards to become an Army Ranger and "then went on to command her infantry platoon, but she now has a lower physical standard than the men she is charged to lead". Support is the Limited Government Position as physical standards and other requirements within the United States military help ensure our country maintains the most powerful and effective fighting force in the world. These standards are also critical in ensuring the proper protection for every service member and their colleagues "who have their back".

Maintaining the Effectiveness of the US. Army Fighting Force by Establishing Gender-Neutral Fitness Standards for the Combat Fitness Test.

The "Fix Our Forests Act" sponsored by Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-AR) contains numerous provisions primarily designed to help reduce wildfires. Some key provisions include improved management of forests on federal land and expedited review of certain forest management projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Additionally, the bill provides utility companies greater ability to remove vegetation which may damage powerlines, and also limits the ability of entities (primarily environmental groups) from advancing frivolous litigation. This concurrent resolution, sponsored by Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL), states that Congress denounces socialism in all its forms and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States of America. Support is the Limited Government Position as the"Father of the Constitution", President James Madison, wrote that it "is not a just government, nor is property secure under it, where the property which a man has in his personal safety and personal liberty, is violated by arbitrary seizures of one class of citizens for the service of the rest".

Bob Good (R-VA), utilizes the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to nullify the rule issued by the Department of Education on October 12, 2022, that suspends federal student loan payments and discharges debt. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the total cost of the Biden administration's student loan forgiveness plan is between $500 billion and $650 billion.
