This bill prohibits the use of eminent domain to seize property in Sumner County for "parks, trails, paths, or greenways for walking, running, hiking, bicycling, or equestrian use" unless the land "is parallel to, runs directly along the length of, and extends in the same direction as a highway, road, or street." This bill makes more students eligible for the Tennessee Education Savings Account (ESA) Pilot Program by expanding the program to cover Hamilton County (previously just Shelby and Davidson counties). Under the bill, school districts now only need to have 5 schools (previously 10) which are within the bottom 10% worst performing in the state.
