Under the bill, the minimum rate is reduced from 14 mills to 10 mills. If a district imposes a rate below the minimum amount, their state equalization funds are reduced by 25%. Support is the Limited Government Position as all state and local tax codes should be constructed in a broadly applied manner with the lowest rates possible for everyone.
